Vertra Sunscreen's Dolan Brothers (Ryan & Patrick) are among Hawaii's top Outrigger/Surfski/ K1 paddlers.  In preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games, the Dolan Brothers are continuing their training at home, in the warm waters of Hawaii, under the strategic coaching of Guy Wilding. "We love Hawaii, and we enjoy training at our local kayaking club (HCKT)," commented Ryan.  Hawaii Canoe and Kayak Team (HCKT) is an Olympic Development Program designed to elevate Hawaii's elite paddling athletes to be competitive on the world scale. Ryan and Patrick have been USACK National Team Members since 2006.

This past weekend Patrick Dolan took top honors in the Surfski Divison of the PA'A race from Makapu'u to Pinky's Cannal. Ryan took 6th in the OC1 Divison.

Vertra Sunscreen's Matt Becker, a 16-year-old Standup Paddler phenom from Santa Barbara gives us a taste of his skill off the SUP boards. Becker who is known for being one of the best SUP racers in the world, can also shred on his surfboard.  Becker recently returned from a 2 week SUP surf and adventure trip to Sri Lanka with the Blueline Surf Team.  Now back in the States he is on the grind getting ready for the SUP World Tour event at Sunset Beach on February 6th. www.standupworldtour.com

The 2010 Molokai2Oahu Paddleboard Champion, Vertra Sunscreen's Eric Abbott put together a short Hawaii Kai paddling video.  A week out before the 2009 paddleboard race, Abbott was testing out his new Joe Bark stock paddleboard. The hybrid tiger and zebra stripes complemented the ultra fast Bark CT Stock model. On a light wind Hawaii Kai paddling run, Abbott was out for a relaxing day in the Pacific. Enjoy!
